East End Youth and Community Centre has been in existence since 1964. It was
originally a Boys Club and existed primarily to support and train boys in football,
boxing and other physical sports. Over the years it has changed greatly into an
all encompassing Youth and Community Centre, going from strength to strength.
With a recently newly formed management committee and registering as a
company limited by guarantee (8257826) and then gaining charitable status (1149795)
the centre now offers a wide range of activities and facilities for the young people
and the community..
The centre now has several permanent tenants and offers affordable room hire for other activities, including birthday parties.
Our Aims
The aims of the charity are to enhance the quality of life for the inhabitants of
North Tyneside and surrounding area. To offer the opportunity to advance
education, training, employment, health, cultural and social needs and leisure time.
To establish or secure the establishment of a community centre and to maintain
and manage the same for the local community
To help young people especially but not exclusively through leisure time activities
so to develop their physical, mental and spiritual capacities that they may grow to
full maturity as individuals and members of society.
