Moko Jumbie Stilt Walkers
The baby was sold, his spirit became Moko Jumbie, and he tied stilts on his legs
and walked across the Atlantic to Trinidad following the slave ships. The stilts
would fit any child, and one day Moko Jumbie walked back across the water to
England and tied the stilts onto the legs of the grandchildren of the shipbuilders.
They walked tall, full of the spirit of Moko Jumbie, and they danced, sang and
pranced with joy.
If you like the opportunity to walk on stilts, please call 0191 257 3033 and leave a contact name and telephone and someone will call you back.
